If you have been to Old Navy recently you have seen these cute little mannequin's they have in the stores. Well, Megan quickly realized they had one her size and insisted it was her "fren" (friend). Honey & I took turns staying by her throughout our shopping trip so she could visit with her. She even complimented her little fren on her clothes.

Sweetpea's wedding ??

 I know your thinking but she's only 6 !! LOL ... well, she has plans in place already. Yesterday she was telling me all about the cakes she is planning for her wedding. BTW ~ I guess she plans on getting married right when she turns 24. She said, there are some funny boys in my class but I haven't made up my mind which one mom. So we had watched alot of cake boss on TLC while staying at the holiday inn last week. Sweetpea said " I want a wedding cake that's a whole me and the wedding guy (aka hubby) will have a cake that's a guy just like him. then we will make teeny little wedding cakes that are doubled (tiered) for all our visitors." "Then he can eat all of him own self & and I can eat all of my own self as a cake"  LOL ...... I tried to tell Honey this story but he couldn't get past that fact she was planning a wedding & wanted to know WHO these boys in her class were... LOL

Back home

 Poppa's service was beautiful. We had alot of family time and got a chance to see family we haven't seen since I was Sweetpea's age. The girls played with cousins and we went to my Poppa's favorite beach in California and walked on the beach.

I found These matching cups to use for my sugar and flour containers... lol... that I have yet to buy. But I LOVE the idea I saw on Cindy's romatic home and have been looking for some small tea cups ever since. Found !! So now to buy the glass jars. Thanks again Cindy for sharing your ideas.

A new craigslist find !!

I finally got my dresser !! I found one for a great price and really good condition. I will be painting it and haven't put my clothes in it yet but couldn't resist putting my goodies on top. I love it !! Honey said he is going to buy me some scented drawer liner from crab tree and evelyn. lol... ok so he DOES listen when I point things out in the stores he doesn't like. Thanks Honey !!

Here's sweet peas costume she wore on Halloween. She really loved the idea of being a super hero and a girl. SHe has this great shirt that she always quotes " It's a girls world, boys just live here" ... lol cracks me up.

Yummy Apple tart.

A couple weeks ago I stopped by borders book store to have some alone time, read some magazines and relax. I stopped by the Seattles best coffee shop inside to get a drink. They had this WONDERFUL looking treat in case. Apple tar. YUM !! I ordered one and the barista suggested the toffee carmel coffee to go with it. They were wonderful, BUT .......... What is the problem you ask ? I can't stop thinking about it. Was it the peace and quiet of the book store ? The warm coffee and delicious treat ? well, I'm not sure but I would love to repeat that moment.

Ok so the picture really doesn't have much to do with the post, I just thought it was Puuuurrrty.....

It's time to get started on the furniture. I bought a china cabinet on craigs list....ummmmm almost 5 months ago. Time to start the work. I will post some before and after picture too. I also got a bed, which I LOVE but feel totally silly about because I didn't measure it and just took the lady's word for it when she said it was a King size. Nope it's a California king. Not really much size difference at all, so Honey "THINKS" we may still get it work. We just have to buy a King metal frame and he will drill and bolt it together. I just won't get to use the side rails but hey once I put the shabby chic bed skirt and bedding on. Can you really tell ? Hey!! Any suggestions to make it easier. Yes, I will take them !!

Sweetpea's Field trip.

Sweetpea had 2 field trips in the last 2 weeks. I was able to chaperon for both. I really had alot of fun. The kids in her class are great. I had the honor of watching 4 of them (including Sweetpea). We laughed and played and had a really good time.

School Project

Here is Sunshine's rainbow projectfor school. We used the 6 colors of the rainbow and made a fish tank. WE used egg cartons for the heads. Sunshine did all the painting and gluing and sure had alot of fun. I cut all the felt pieces and drew the bubbles and sea weed.

Sunshine got a new bike from her Uncle & Aunt. She was so excited when they brought this in at her party. Some of her friends were really excited too.. LOL

Yesterday was Honey's birthday... what a sweet day it was

We enjoyed a peaceful day just the two of us then dinner as a family. Nana joined us for dinner too. Sunshine has begun to start "it's my way or the highway phase". Which means alot more eatting at home. We also went through this Sweetpea at age 3 LOL .. hopefully Sunshine's won't last as long. Happy Birthday Honey !! Hope you enjoyed your day.

Sunshine turns 3

October 1st, 2006 ~ My sweet baby girl was born. What can I say about Sunshine ? She has a smile that lights up a room, but she makes you earn it.

Her dimples are the sweetest things ever. She is caring, affectionate and has passion for life. She wants to know about everything, why, how when ?? She is also demanding and know what she wants from the moment her sweet heads lift from her pillow in the morning. (Or my pillow, as most mornings she sneeks into my room at 3 am and finishes the last 4 hours of sleep. She LOVES chocolate milk so much she named her new baby doll that. Though she told her doctor at her 3 year appointment, green beans were her favorite. LOL ... She's a cowgirl, a princess, a mermaid and chef all in one. She's our Sunshine !

White picket fence

Does anyone have these anymore ? As far back as I can remember I dreamed of a house full of kids, a cute little dog and a house with a white picket fence. But really does that happen anymore ? I love the look !! I have the 2 beautiful girls and a great honey. The dog is in the planning after the move but will I ever get the white picket fence ?

I can't wait to move to Oregon. sigh.... we just feel like we are wasting time. Hope the wait isn't too much longer.

My sweet Sunshine has Asthma

At Sunshine's 3 year appointment they discovered she has asthma. We had a slight hint that she might. She would cough when ever she excerted herself. So far the inhaler seems to be working but she will have a check up in just over 2 weeks to see if we need to add singulair to the mix as well. I know this dry desert air doesn't help her at all.

OMG... I have a crush ... lol and my husband knows ALL about it.

Honey bought us tickets for the Jason Aldean concert. It was such a good time. We went to the Radio stations 95.5 Pre Party show at the Mandalay Bay just before the concert. I WON !!! 2 cabana tickets to view the show with the DJ's. Honey enjoyed himself and actually admitted to liking some country songs. LOL .. and I think he's a new Jason Aldean fan.

Anyway to the Crush, YES ! I LOVE Jason Aldean. He's cute, sexy, funny and a GREAT country artist. Just check out some of his songs and you will see !

School time !

Sweetpea starts back to school on the 24th. She is very excited about starting 1st grade. I still can't believe it and a little mama paranoia has set in.
I even had a dream/ nightmare about it last night. She will be gone all day, even have lunch at school. ((((SIGH)))) They grow up too fast.

My darling girl

She's sick but still sweet as ever. All she wanted to do was cuddle and love on her mommy when I got home from work today. We watched a movie together that I borrowed from a girl at work and she loved it. It was funny the main character was named Tristen. Sweetpea kept pointing out that it's a girls name. LOL ... wait till she finds out what I have already realized ALOT of boys now have my name.

I made these great Silohouettes of the girls yesterday. I love how they turned out. I wasn't sure I could cut that much detail but I did it !! They look great in the hallway. The light pink paper in the background is rose print. I really love how they turned out.

I have always loved angel pictures and statues but, Since losing my son Joseph 7 years ago it was hard to see them. I know what a true angel is now. I saw this yesterday at Home goods and just could not pass it up. Something about his sweet face drew me right too him. I love the fact that his wings frame him in a heart shape. Just another sign from my sweet boy.

My Mother's day surprise !

I slept in late, Honey made me waffles, with fresh strawberries and black berries topped with whipped cream. YUM !! Sweetpea wrote me a song that went kinda like this ...... It's mother's day and your the best mommy. I love you and your pretty. ooh ohh yeah. For mother's day I wrote this song. Then lots of oh's and la la's to finish it off. It was darling !! Sunshine said "happy mudder's day mama, yeah !" she was very proud that she followed through with the line daddy practiced with her. I recieved a beautiful vase, with a few shells and a star fish with some sea glass in it too. Sweetpea also made a cute block of wood frame with her kindergarten picture on it.

I would love to live in a beach cottage.

We are deciding how to redecorate things. I told Honey I would love to have a beach cottage look. I am really into the whole sabby chic thing too.

Sweetpea's birthday, what to do.

We still have nearly 2 months to go until Sweetpea turns 6, but we got her gift already.
This shabby chic vanity from target will be just great for her. I can't wait to see her face. So what's the problem you ask ? Her new bedroom set to totally white, and this is off white. I would love to distress it a little more and add pink. Or maybe just add some pink dry brush to make the off white color not so noticable. I just don't want to paint the whole thing a flat pink. Any tips ?

Disneyland here we come !!

Just a couple more days until our Disneyland trip. I am super excited. So is Honey and the girls. I remember nearly 8 years ago when I had the hardest time talking Honey into going to Disneyland. He always thought it was "boooring". After I had my 2nd miscarriage in 3 months he agreed to go with me. We both needed that little time away to cheer our selves up and get a fresh start. It was a blast. We closed the park and now both have the fondest memories of our little get away there. We talked about one day taking our kids there. May of 2007 we went again. This time with the girls. It was just as magical. Maybe even more so. Now that they are both just a little older, I think this trip will be even more exciting !! Count down starts....... just 6 days until DISNEYLAND !!
